I agreee that it's "bottom-fishing" time. I've tracked the local markets every single week for a year now, and undoubtedly, in the last 2 months (March & April) sales have picked up, the amount of homes under $150K has gone down, and homes under 200K with a pool has gone down....it's leveling off. There are many people out there actually in a bidding war over many of the bank-owned properties. Since housing starts are way down, and prices way down, and rates way down, sales have definitely picked up .... but of course, somehow everyone won't know about it until 3 months from now. Since everytime I read the "experts", especially local experts (JB), they seem to be citing infomation that those of us in the trenches new 3 months back.
